The 8 marketing fixes that drive the biggest ROI in 90 days
Every business we audit wants the same thing: more revenue, faster. After working through 100+ accounts, the same eight fixes keep producing the biggest return in the first 90 days — and almost none of them are glamorous.
The eight, in priority order
- Fix conversion tracking before spending another pound. Most accounts cannot tell which leads came from where. You cannot improve what you cannot measure.
- Rewrite the three pages that get the most traffic for one job each: get the visitor to act.
- Add a single, obvious primary call to action above the fold. One. Not five.
- Turn on call tracking. For trade and service businesses, the phone is still the highest-intent channel.
- Cut the worst 20% of ad spend. There is always a campaign quietly burning budget.
- Add automated lead follow-up within five minutes. Speed-to-lead beats almost every other optimisation.
- Collect and publish ten recent reviews. Trust converts.
- Set up one weekly report that ties activity to enquiries, not vanity metrics.
Why this order
The first three weeks are about measurement and the obvious leaks. Weeks four to eight are about spend and speed. The final month is about trust and reporting, so the gains stick.
None of this requires a rebrand or a six-month retainer. It requires doing the unglamorous things in the right order. That is the whole game.
