Dealing With Rot
Rot is a very common occurrence with period windows. We use best-practice methods combined with high-quality woods, paints and fillers to fix any rot — and to stop it being an issue in the future.
The Work
Dry Flex, from Repair Care, is an epoxy resin filler that keeps some elasticity even once cured. Many wood fillers turn brittle over time and crack, letting water in — Dry Flex flexes with the timber as it expands and contracts, so it doesn’t crack. That makes it a durable, permanent fix.
We repair or replace any sills, framework or rails of the windows themselves, secured and sealed with Dry Flex, with full redecoration as part of the job.
